Account types
YAMM works with any Google account. Two things depend on which kind you have: how many recipients you can reach per day, and whether you can share one Pro plan with your team.
Which account do I have?
Look at the address you use with YAMM:
- Ends in @gmail.com. You have a personal Google account.
- Ends in your own domain, such as
you@yourcompany.com. You have a Google Workspace account on a custom domain, managed by your Google Workspace administrator.
To confirm which account YAMM is running as, see Check which account you're using.
A Google Workspace Individual subscription runs on an @gmail.com address, with no custom domain. Sharing a plan with your team needs a custom domain, so it isn't available on that subscription.
What that changes
On YAMM Free, both account types get the same 20 recipients per 24 hours. Your plan decides first, your account type second. See Your daily quota.
| @gmail.com | Custom domain | |
|---|---|---|
| Daily limit on YAMM Free | Up to 20 recipients / 24 h | Up to 20 recipients / 24 h |
| Daily limit on YAMM Pro | Up to 400 recipients / 24 h * | Up to 1,500 recipients / 24 h ** |
| Share your Pro plan | Not available (always one user) | Yes |
| Domain-wide install | Not applicable | Yes |
* You can only send emails with personalized attachments to 100 recipients / day.
** The 1,500 recipients quota applies to Google Workspace accounts that meet the following conditions:
- Your Google Workspace account is no longer in its trial period and has started an active subscription
- Your Google Workspace account is not a free legacy edition account
- You haven’t sent more than 500 emails in the last 24 hours from your Google Workspace account
- Your Google Workspace account hasn’t been rate-limited by Google
Upgrading to Pro
Pro raises your daily limit on either account type. What differs is whether you can share that plan with anyone else.
Personal @gmail.com accounts
Pro is always single-user. Upgrade to Pro and your limit goes up, but the plan covers only you. Each colleague who needs YAMM buys their own subscription.
Google Workspace accounts on a custom domain
You choose how many seats your plan includes when you upgrade to Pro:
- One seat. You're the only sender, and nothing changes beyond your daily limit.
- More than one seat. Each seat lets one person in your domain use Pro features, billed to you rather than to them.
You can buy more seats later as your team grows.
